escort van wont start, the chipped red key pos?
 

bear with me as i try and explain this the best i can, my nephew stuck a piece of his toy in the ignition barrel so the key would only go in 3/4 of the way, so i had no choice but to brake the steering lock and unclip the black box so that i can use my van, since yesterday after slaming my drivers door my van wont star?

there is a red key taped to some thing on the steering column under the plastics (i am guessing) the ecu is not recieving the signal from the key as every thing is as t should be apart from when trying to start the van there is nothing happening (like there is no battery) but there is plenty life in the battery and all electics etc work

i know this problem can be by passed im just not sure how to do so? hence why i am seeking your guys help!! W reg 1.8d

its all sorted now :DD: just re-taped the key back to the sensor a little bit better than it was and left the battery out for a while and it fired up all ok so than goodness for that no worrys on how to get to work now happy days
