Urgent Help please !!! Can i use an XR3i master cylinder.....

Am I ok to use an XR3i master cylinder - 23.8mm bore ??? on a Series 2 RS as opposed to the 25.4mm bore standard one.

I assume this fits ok does this affect anything else in terms of performance....

If it physically fits it will be ok, just slightly longer travel on the brake pedal, the difference is no doubt due to the slightly larger caliper piston on the rst v the xr3i.
