Can you still buy the gear bit new or is it obsolete now?! After spending ages messing about with the cable thinking it was that i ended up sticking it in gear and had the arse in the air and looked at the worm drive casing the cable pushes into and thats not spinning, so guessing the gears are now worn too much?! the gearbox was a recon one in the car so assuming its not an internal prob with the box......

afaik still available, around £25 if memory is correct, bought one about 1 year ago.
