Limit of the 1.6 n/a cvh?
What is the maximum naturally aspirated tuning potential of the 1.6 CVH, for instance the ceiling of the c20xe is about 300 bhp?

I would say in the region of 170bhp, thats around the figure they use to run when they where raced i think.
maybe you can get more but i shouldn't think that much more is available, it is after all just a 1.6 8v.

i think getting to 170bhp is about the ceiling, i had 127bhp and that was quite a bit of work, mega cam and massive porting and rebore could get you there with really high compression and steel bottom end.
as said, an 8v 1.6 won't make massive numbers, but it is a very torquey engine low down.
