changing my sump gasket saph cos
my saph 4x4 has a sump gasket and its leaking,i understand it should not have a gasket and should have sump sealer instead.
i started the job today,i pre ordered new half moon seals and i was gonna use wurth gasket sealer or loctite sigillaflange.ive drained the oil, removed the starter motor and front driveshafts so far,it looks like the steering rack at least has to come out, possibly the crossmember too.
what else should i consider when doing this job? all info greatly appreciated.
im a car mechanic and have full workshop facilities.im gonna fit a sump baffle while i have the sump off too.

The best sump gasket is the cometic re-useable one, this is a foam alloy gasket, just apply a bit of sealant at the half moon ends, I use Loctite 5900 or 5910.

4x4 have a special sealer and to remove the sump you have to take the engine cradle off .
To be honest take the engine out it's much eaiser
