Talking Stainless Steel Exhaust Assembly Advice

Afternoon all.
When assembling a Stainless Exhaust should I be using assembly paste to minimise blowing joints or should it be o.k. with dry joints?
Got a Scorpion stainless jobbie to fit to my XR3i and just wanted to check, thanks!

I always give the joints a swimming lesson in Coppaslip or similar, helps if you ever need to take off again, but joints if blowing slightly will coke up sometimes anyway.
I don't use any on the manifold/exhaust on my 2wd, just where pipe fits inside another in system.
