Smoke ring's on idle
Hi i'm a newbie here sorry i tried to search for it.
I have a saffy cosworth 2wd stg 2 engine making 272hp it has 100k engine is pretty sweet pulls excellent etc made a load of smoke when i ripped her open when i first got her not much if anything now, But on idle it seem's to misfire but not bad misfire just like the throttle is open then closed as th rev's are up and down ad after that it starts to jump like a little misfire every so often and smoke rings are coming out of the exhaust??? Any idea's sorry again if this has been answered but i just wanna sort it out! P.S the idle is rough quite rough TBH:grin: Thanks, John:poke: |
probably a dodgy sensor making it overfuel, what colour are the smoke rings

i had this one mine.i replaced coolant temp sensor as there was a slight hesitancy when starting, but also replaced the plugs and it was this that stopped the smoke rings.hope this helps.it was almost as though the car would have an occaisional hiccup as it was idleling. cheers GLYN
