PEC or Farndon Rods???
as above, which ones are best quality??
any advice or comments will be most appreciated:grin: |
havent come into use with farndon or pec but have you considered eagle? They give a guarunteed power limit on there rods, something like 6 to 900 horses, mental ay? Im sure pec and farndon are great but I cant comment as I have never used them.
Used eagles in my civic b16 turbo i built and they were awesome, mega mega well up for boost, had well over 300 hp. :ban-split: |
We use Farndon constantly and have never had a problem. We probably get 24 sets a year, is PEC the same as Phoenix engineering? If so we have had big problems with them, be warned!!

most steel rods nowadays are good to be honest. I can recommend eagles first hand but you are after farndon or pec so that doesnt really help. Sorry I cant be of more use :wall:

I only use Arrow.

Farndon are the better rod.. they use a superior small end bush, however i've never seen a PEC type rod fail when used properly, so who knows.

Arrow
Farndon PEC Eagle Chocolate Standard Evo rods Thats the order I would put them in personally. |

micro polished crank accralite pistons stage 2 head gotech stage 3 t3 turbo hoping for around the 220 bhp mark with plenty of torque, I want the engine to be reliable hence going for forged pistons and steel rods :-) |
