Orion MFi won't start

Hey, another problem with my Orion!!!
When I was driving home yesterday the car spluttered and cut out. Its an 88 Orion 1.6i Ghia MFi.
I towed it home and an hour or so later it started fine, ran for about 30 seconds then cut out. Again today it started and ran fine for 2 or 3 mins then cut out and wouldn't start.
The fuel pump comes on with the ignition then goes off as normal but won't run when I turn the engine over. I then took the fuel pump relay out of my XR3i but its still the same. I then ran a wire straight from the battery to the fuel pump so it ran all the time but it made no difference. I've now found that it isn't sparking either!
I had a very similar problem with my old Astra GTE and it turned out to be the fuel pump relay.
Any help with this would be appreciated because I don't know much about the K Jetronic system.
Cheers Peter.

Swapped the dizzy off the XR3i and it fired up and seems to be running spot on.
Thanks very much mate. Peter.
