[1982's XR3] Fuel Tank Problem...

Hi !

When my fuel tank is full or half full, I have lots of "engine cuts", just after a long curve.

I don't really understand why  , because with less fuel than half, everything is ok

At the beginning, I supposed that the small pipe (under the car) wich let the air come in to the tank was dirty.
So, I tried to clean it, then I drove without the tank cap... and the problem remains the same...

Does anybody has an idea of what should I do to solve that ?

Thanks in advance ;)

is there any damage to the bottom of the tank mate mine did the same but it did have a big dent in it ;)

it seems to be clean on the bottom... that's why the problem is much more complicated to solve

Thanks ;)

But I don't know what is a "sendor unit"... and where it is ?

Do you mean that there's a kind of filter in the tank ?

See you,
