if you get a DIY regas kit it has the instructions on the can. i just so happen to have a new kit for sale aswell, i bought it from halfords last week but my aircon is totally shagged so its no use to me.

take it to a garage and get the to charge it with some uv dye to find the leak that you obviously have otherwise it shouldnt need recharging.
but is normally connect HP hose to HP valve and LP hose to LP valve, open valvews on machiene then open valves on car the do a vacume and put back in the correct amout of gas and oil.

As above, need the leak sorting first. Then pump the air out with vacuum p/p, it's normal procedure to weight the amount of thats to be put gas in, if you want it working correctly its best to get a prof to do it.
Systems charged incorrectly are a nightmare, giving crap performance etc.
