whats the difference???

Can anyone tell me the differences between the escort RS and the fiesta RS engines? are the ECUs the same?will an S2 loom fit to the engine?is there a difference in power?ect
cheers

Escort Rs has a different head to suit the Mfi.. whereas the fiesta is run on Efi

to fit an S2 loom to a fiesta engine you have to modify it which is more hassle than its worth.. its easier to get an adaptor plate which allows you to fit EFi onto a escort head so then you can use a fiesta loom

and no theres no difference in power between the 2 engine

Escort used Motorola engine managment, fiesta used EEC-IV-management

escort engine used a t03 turbo whereas a fiesta engine used a t02 turbo

and fiesta engine used a slightly smaller clutch as standard

Afaik.. so don't take my word on it
