Motorbike TB's

How much of an arse are these to fit and what kind of management do you need? Could the existing management be adapted or better off going for a stand alone set up? If so, which one and how much?

Thinking of options for the missus' 1.4 106...

you need stand alone management.
dont do it unless you are good with making custom things

Start buying Practicle Performance Car magazine you will learn a lot about tuning cars properly (no induction kits etc), but cheapily (ie using motorbike TBs instead of expensive Jenvey ones).

Plenty of people are using motorbike TBs now so you should be able to find plenty of info on the net. You will need aftermarket engine managment which you could fit first as it will improve your engine performance even without TBs. Once you have mastered that side you could tackle adapting and fitting the TBs.

best option is a can of petrol and a match :blabla:

seriously though, it's a lot of hassle for very little gain on a 1.4. it will put the insurance higher as well. may as well just buy a 1.6 instead
