Lack of power on hills fiesta zetec 1.25

Unhappy Lack of power on hills fiesta zetec 1.25

Hi ,

My fiesta lacks power on hills as if the ignition timing is not advancing I realise that this is ecu controlled but is ther a sensor somewhere malfuctioning?

Can you be more specific lol.A 1.2 is rubbish up hills any way.Mine was the same

Well that sounds like you have answered my question rubbish up hills but on the flat fairly rapid. cheers.

This is comedy.

My advise is get an older 1.3 pushrod powered fiesta they're actually a decent little engine, not loads of power but good to drive.

I think what is being confused here is lack of low down torque, the 1600 which is just a larger version of your engine is the same.

As said as a older engines were generous with this, but it seems modern multivalve engines need working hard to produce the goods.

Maybe change down a gear lol.

Have you changed the timing belt recently? If yes there is a possibility that is not adjusted correctly...there is also a possibility that the cam sensor malfunctioning. If the cams timing is not correct then the cam sensor malfunctions also...So check the timing then the sensor, clean your throttle bodie and clean the injectors, then i believe you will be fine.
