Default Picture of YB? T5 fits Cosworth/Pinto-more?

Can anyone insert a picture of the Cosworth engine showing the side where the bell housing bolts on? The "Rear side/Clutch" of the YB engine - when the gearbox has been removed!

Which engines does the T5 gearbox fit others then the YB/Cosworth/Pinto?

Thanks!

Yes they do i beleive as people hace done it over here as they stand up to the torque much better. Dont think the ratio's are very good though as the v8's dont rev high

Yes, the T5 from a 5.0L Mustang can be used with the bellhousing from T5 2.3L OHC 4 cylinder to fit the Pinto 205 block.
There are a few differences, the input shaft will need machining to fit into the pilot(spigot?) bearing, plus the alignment dowels
are different as well. I'll have to run out to the shed and see what's different, as I can't think of it right now...

GM Borg Warner T5 from V8 cars are the exact same ratios as the T5s in the 2wd Cossies except 5th gear which is a bit more overdrive at 0,73.

The ears sticking out from the case are different, but at least the shifter on the GM box is in the same place as a Cossie one---and not 3 or 4" foward like Ford USA V8 boxes (which also have a shorter first gear---3.36 vs Cossie and GM 2,95)

One could mix and match a GM gearset in a Ford case which would direct bolt to the Cossie bellhousing, then use the GM tailshaft housing and shjift shaft stuff...
GM spines on input and output are, of course, different.

But then again so is US Ford from Euro Ford.
