found it , its a switching relay, that stops me starting the car whilst in gear, take it out of gear, hey presto engine starts
not to worry now, this cars probably a cube by now lol

The correct oil for those engines is 5w30 all year round. As said it sounds like either your oil pressure switch, pressure sensor or worse case your oil pump is on the way out.
