Default Drive It Day - 27th April 2014

Just wondered if anyone is doing a "Drive It Day" event tomorrow?

I'm out with Hagerty insurance again this year. We start from the Silverstone Racing Club and are promised a 70 mile scenic country route stopping at Bicester Heritage Centre and finishing at the Heritage Motor Museum in Gaydon.

Here's hoping for some reasonable weather or there will be a lot of cleaning to be done before the Ace on Saturday.

Cheers, John

Well weather was OKish but did rain. Overall event was great and it always surprises me just how much we miss zipping from A to B on the motorways - A day like this down the country lanes and through really pretty little villages is really what makes the day. Think I'm starting to get fed up with just driving somewhere, parking for the day and then driving home.

A few pics of Fords there today taken before the start at Silverstone.

Cheers, John

Just heard from the organisers and we raised over Ł2,750 for charity by the entrants donations.

well done John and have to agree about static shows, but with fuel costs etc most have limited budgets so hands are tied, look forward to seeing you at the ace cafe on saturday
