RSOC Croft 2009 6th & 7th June. 95db!!!!! LIMIT
TRACK INFO:
As most people will realise that croft has had a fair share of problems with noise and the legal system and as a result of that we almost didn’t have a show at all. But we have worked with croft to come up with the following solution.
First of all each session has been cut by 5 minutes so instead of the usual 20 you will get 15 minutes and to help with the noise levels we have to have a 15 minute break between sessions. But you still manage to get 6 sessions during the day as the day has been slightly extended to cover this.
There is also no novice intermediate and expert this time – its simply a complete mix up of cars which is going to be run with 40 cars this year – this has been reduced by a 1/3 to also help croft.
So Session A is 13 cars, Session B is 13 cars and Session C is 14 cars.
Full details of session times will be sent out in your track entrants pack.
There is also going to be a VERY STRICT Noise policy of 95db so please make sure your car is below this level.
0-60 INFO:
This will run in the same order as the cars on track so 15 mins on 15 mins off.
Unfortunately this has put pay to a lot of attractions we had lined up for 2009 with regards to guest cars and passenger / charity rides and we've had numerous discussions about how we go about things for this year and we've come to a compromise with Croft so we can still hold the show this year but we've sort of took a step backwards as to keep things on track for 2010!
Now going forward to 2010 we have requested a full noise day!!!!!
We can have louder cars than any previous years at croft so please if you can bare with us for the track time this year and understand the troubles the circuit is having then going on to next year we should be in good form to get back to normal again.
IF anyone has any problems or queries regarding track time please post on this thread or ring Steve Carlin (Dingy) on 07970 785 790.
LOCAL GROUP BOOKINGS, VISITING CLUBS AND TRADERS.
ALL of the above will require vehicle passes to gain access to the circuit. NO PASS, NO ENTRY!
For Traders, contact Dave Easton on 07808 474 026
For RS local groups and visiting clubs, contact myself, Scott Emmerson on 07717 280 942.
CAMPING
There will be NO public camping allowed unfortunately. Only people on track, traders and group stands that have valid passes will be allowed into the circuit.....NO EXCEPTIONS. Concours entrants will gain access for camping on receipt of a valid 2009 RSOC Concours Logbook.
NOISE LIMITATIONS AND CURFEWS
We will be extremely strict on car movement after a certain time to be finalised and there will be NO LOUD MUSIC allowed whatsoever.
thread will be updated with more information as soon as we get it.
Scott.

Yes, however, only cars which have a vehicle pass will be able to run the 0-60. No cars from the public car park will be allowed into the paddock area so bear this in mind if you want to run the 0-60
Yes
If you haven't already booked on track and your not on the reserve list then there's not much chance of you getting on with your own car, however, I'm sure someone will oblige with a passenger ride

Have you sent a form to Dingy? If not then I think you've probably missed out as we've had to disapoint a lot of people that have applied because we have been cut down to 40 cars from 60
On the day Craig, once you have paid in and are within the paddock then you can purchase a 0-60 pass which will get your car passed the main entrance. This pass will gain you access to the 0-60 area only and after your run(s) your car will have to return to the car park. HTH

Croft didn't want to lose our show as it brings something different to the venue other than race meetings and experience days. They tried to accommodate us as best they could but I think the fact that they wanted to work with us shows that they really do appreciate what we do.
Cheers for the positive input, it's always appreciated as not a lot of people realise how difficult things have been behind the scenes for this year.
We're hoping that people will still support the show despite things having to be scaled down. We'll be in a better position with Croft next year.
When Dave and Scott went to discuss the show with Croft they showed them the noise graph from last year and the noise was fine until Andrew and Charlie turned up at lunch time on the Saturday. The graph showed that the noise significantly increased after they went on track. Also there was a Lambo on the 0-60 which contributed to the peak in the noise graph Claire who worked at Croft said she heard it from the control tower in the pit area even when the track was going full chat

as rob has said scott you need to edit your first post to 95db and someone needs to start telling those on track of the max noise level as lots of cars are going to fail the test (the difference between 98 and 95 db is massive!)and it could really spoil the show, members of our group have already in the last 2 days been buying silencers and parts so the can re engineer there exhaust so as to take part..

OK GUYS, NOISE LIMIT CHANGED IN ORIGINAL POST TO 95db AND IT WILL BE TESTED THE SAME AS ALWAYS CONTRARY TO THE RUMOUR MILL
PLEASE DON'T VENT ANY FRUSTRATIONS UPON US, THIS HAS BEEN IMPOSED ON US THIS YEAR BY CROFT THEMSELVES UNTIL ALL THE HASSLES CALM DOWN! ANYONE THAT IS NOT SURE THEY WILL BE UNDER THE NOISE LIMIT IS ENTITLED TO THEIR MONEY BACK IF THEY SO WISH BUT THIS MUST BE DONE ASAP!
