We were there today.
Brother was running car 129 in his 205 Gti....
Pretty unsuccessful day as he managed to smash one rear caliper on stage 7, which we changed at service, only to smash another, and go OTL on the following stage after service.....
Some good spectator points, and Latvala in his Focus was really really flying!!!!!!

Rich - were you servicing the wrong car then
Tough little cars them Pugs - I did Grizedale Stages a while back in my old one - did 3 stages with NO water in the engine Still managed a finish Then I left it out over winter with no antifreeze in and it cracked the block You cant win
Nice pics too by wighthot

Nuts,
Yeah, car 129 was well pleased with the extra help
Got to be said - my brother drove really well, and I'm gutted that he didn't finish. Obviously the entry fee for such an event is well above normal 205 challenge prices, so it would have been sweet to have finished......
Brother's had some shite luck recently, but I suppose that's the way it goes. From what he was saying though, some of the stages on the Tempest were really really rough, causing quite a few breakages and quite a few DNFs.
I suppose it's a little bit encouraging when some of the BRC works teams also end up going home early on the trailer......
Still, roll on the next event!

Cheers for the piccies. Cheers rich for posting them. Got them today. A few nice shots there.
Hope you enjoyed the rally, i had a great day even with the shite luck that happened. Still an experience to be alongside the likes of WRC teams.
The stages and the event was no where near the quality you would expect from the BRC but that is probably why it is crashing next year. Too expensive and not good enough.
Cheers for the photos tho, the only ones i got of the day.
