M4DRST "The Trolley" - Ford Fair 2013
#82
Well after spending lots of time seeing where i can lose some weight on the car by losing the glass windows - for perspex and a fibreglass kevlar tailgate, stripped internals etc etc etc. i was hoping to lose around a 100kg of the standard weight of a Fiesta Rs turbo of 1060kg. So after various good friends hassling me to weigh the car i did today.
Wow was i shocked i was hoping for around 900kg but the printed document read.
790kg
any one know how to work out bhp per tonne ???

christ, that is light.
What colour is your car?
BHP/weight then times by 1000 = BHP per tonne
e.g. 220/790*1000 = 278.5bhp per tonne
I dont know how many hp your car is so i guessed

the colour of the car is Nordic Green(pearl)
Well supposidly the BHP should be around 250bhp i have just ordered
440cc injectors from America so only the mapping will tell whatthe true bhp is but if around 250bhp should see 316.4bhp per tonne.
should be a handful of fun.

ust admit mate i have not had a chance to take any decent pics always something to be fiddling with on the car.
As long as the weather is on myside this weekend i shall get some interior shots and underneath etc.
Thank you for all your kind words....
Wish my mother would hurry back from America with my injectors, though.

I have seen loads of differant weights for the Fiesta the weight i have given is what is listed at my friends garage for a fiesta rs they have all the weights of all cars and the necessary stats for mot brake tests.
Argh heeman spotted the injector give away - Yes overkill on this engine but i am currently sourcing parts for the next engine, so these will run on both engines i hope.

well update time for you peeps,
The car is al stripped down again unfortunaltly
I have sent the engine back to the engine builder in London, as i have a delay in the oil light going out on start up nothing major but rather strip it down and sort it know just incase something is wrong.
After 3 good friends of mine Jase , Damien and Russell helped with the removal of the engine - in a record 1 hour. Then russell and my self stripped the bottom end down to check the crank/oil pump and bearings,
All seemed fine but still not being a engine builder i have sent the crank bearings and pump back for inspection. Should have got ther today so hopefully a phone call will be due soon....
Summers here and the car is of road for a week at least i can change my rattly clutch release bearing now that the box is off, and get a few more bolts chromed quickely.
Any one recommend a clutch rlease bearing that lasts longer than 4 weeks before dying. Uprated ones or standard ones etc...

With regard power output at the moment its hard to say still on standard management but the new managemant is going on in July with the extra large injectors.. This should see around 250bhp and with the car only weighing a smidge under 800kg its flies.
I had a little play with a 2.0 16 v nova the other week which on rollers pulls out a 170 bhp. i am happy to say that the blue oval obliterated the vauxhall. so im not sure what power mine is at moment, bt its sure to be fun once mapped next month on Emerald engine management. just need the bottom end bits back, and a nice strong high pressure oil pump once again.

Very nice Luke. Didn't know you still hung around with Russell, how is his Focus RS doing? See much of Dan Blackman? I'll have to catch up once I got my new engine built up
Do you run a BOV?
