Is it just me or has no-one been checking the dates on the photo's? This build is about 3-4 months of work, starting back in March at the latest isn't it? And you're just sticking pics up as and when you sort them all out, you haven't rebuilt a totalled car in two days, right? PMSL at the replies though.....definitely a Superman rebuild if I'm wrong!

It looks great, top job on the reshell. How's it driving? :top:

heeman10 14-09-2005 01:26 PM

Wow, what a car!! Very impressive mate! One suggestion from me; spend the 30 minutes necessary to spray the suspension top cups, only thing letting that bay down ;) It's all minty beauty! :top: :top: :top: 400bhp will do you for now! What changes have you made to the transmission to put up with that lot?

N1C4T3N 14-09-2005 03:55 PM

 wow that looks mean even with out the skirts :top:

rscostalot 14-09-2005 04:01 PM

:D Just waiting for chrome suspention cups to arrive,as for the rest AP 6 paddle clutch and the TVR convertion for the T5 as my nephew own's Bird and Fitch gears here in Harlow who supply TVR..other than that not alot else, once car is up and running will invest more Money in her but its tight at the mo..Didnt expect to have to reshell her so most of my cash has gone on that and other things... :top: :top:

rscostalot 14-09-2005 04:08 PM

Hi heeman10, thanks for comments, drives well, sticks to the road like shit with the coil overs..When its all done will take to steveeee at A1 to get it set up properly as ive known him for yrs..And its taken me since march to build, and building it after work and at weekends on my mates drive, which his wife is glad to see gone :content: :content: :content: ..Still pop round there and threaten to leave it there for a day or so,LOL...I think she's glad its gone as he wants to build a escort now and im to blame... :blabla: :blabla:

WutangRS 14-09-2005 04:46 PM

looks well odd without the skirts.
impressive work though

Nick C 14-09-2005 10:29 PM

Looks awesome mate, superman speed lol

heeman10 15-09-2005 10:35 AM

What's this TVR conversion then? I'm sure it's common knowledge in the Cosworth world, I'm just wondering about medium (300-400bhp) EsCos transmission requirements. Sounds like you will have sparked off some domestics round your mate's house! Glad to hear Steve will be giving it all a twiddle, good finish to a great project ;)

orion_crazy_carl 16-09-2005 04:34 PM

awsome job!did u keep the numbewr plates aswell???y dint u repair the other 1,dint look tht bad??
congrats to ya tho, thing ya name says it all :top:

rscostalot 16-09-2005 04:54 PM

kept number plate did'nt go throu insurance.to much damage to repair and i dont have the stuff to do it,took leg innerwing bulkhead chassis leg, pushed front over by 3inch's then discovered it had alot of rot which was well coverd with filler and drivers foot well was rotten, fuse box bulkhead was again full of filler etc etc etc...So easier to find a shell and reshell the old girl...Worth doing and would do it again as i had fun doing it.. :top:

orion_crazy_carl 16-09-2005 05:03 PM

and maybe not so heavy with tht right foot :top:
