Dunc Maclean hoping to have the shell ready for painting before xmas, but probably wont have it booked in anywhere until the turn of the year. my mate who's garage it is in at the moment can spray, so before it goes to the paintshop we will prep the interior and engine bay, then give them a coat of gloss black, so all the paintshop have to do is the exterior.
here's an example of his work, its my gsxr 600 in Salou last summer, i think he made a great job of it personally
bike panels rubbed down ready for painting
Andy about to do a second coat of yellow
yellow coats finished, waiting to dry anough to be able to remove the masking tape
panels hanging to dry
sticker'd up and lacquer drying
i wish i had taken more pics of the bike respray now, will do next time as the panels were rubbed down, primer'd, filled where need be, painted flat white, then a pearl over the white, then masked and had blue, black and yellow painted on, masking was a nightmare!!! then finally stickers and lacquer then on the bike and out for a damn good thrashing
adamS2RST the t34 was 300 quid off ebay, i dont know if its knew or not, but looking at its condition it certainly seems as thought it is. Not sure why it had a reducer fitted to the inlet mind, wonder if it was used in rallying or something Fingers crossed it works fine when i come to use it

Just read the whole topic, awesome work you're doing there mate.
I'm just about to start a full restore of my mark 2 xr2 and hopefully rebuild it with a 2 litre zetec. just a quick question, with all the bodywork you did yourself have you welded much before that or was this the first thing you've done? im looking to try and do as much of mine as i can myself. which includes learning to weld etc.
Any help you can give me would be much appreciated
Cheers mate.

had an afternoon of graft today, and the results are quite pleasing to the eye
passenger side has had the door delocked, front wing lined up and fitted and the bodywork smoothed out a bit more
this side is very nearly complete
arse end of the car is finished now
just need to weld up the 2 small holes in the rear panel just underneath the bumper
rubbed down the drivers side a bit more today, and fitted the front wing
front end looks canny now
and here is my favourite photo of the day

been down to teeside to buy a set of S1 turbo wheels from AlpsPacino cheers mate
so now i got a spare set to play around with and maybe have trackday slicks on.
went down in my new car, 1.2 Micra tried it out for top speed on the way home and managed to get to the ton
notice the mileage, brand new with just 76 on the clock, carefully ran in
