new front panel is now on 
she made it out into the open to pose for a photo once the drivers side wing was welded in place
starting to look like a car again
fitted the passenger side sill, rear inner and outer arch, and also the lower rear corner panel, and give those a rough skim of bodge
after a bit of smoothing and shaping the rear quarter looked like this
not be long now til its finished
had a call today from Custom Cages... cage will be here tomorrow

Holy cow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you certainly are cracking on at a great pace there chap!!!! 
I can't believe how much rot you have found as well on what looked like a really really tidy example of a RS1600i (and probably was in the grand scale of things that's the scary bit!
)
I really like the white dials, can you get anything you want as a backing for the dial?

when i viewed it at Andyt's i knew it needed sills, battery tray and a few other bits n pieces, but nothing like what it actually needed. Good job i was planning on a full restore i asked for the ZETEC to be placed on my dials instead of ESCORT, but i cant see why he couldnt put anything you wanted on your dials, i reckon he'd just do it and adjust the price accordingly
stevenebm sounds like he could be persuaded to come up n do your underside if he was that keen on his own, i thought it was good at first, then it becomes a right pain in the arse

stevenebm i do actually like the look of a show cage mind, just i wanted a one that would stiffen the shell up a treat

my mate has a t34 i think he wants rid of, if youre interested drop me a pm n i'll sort something out
once the old girl is finished i'll bring her up to Carlisle and take you for a spin til then you'll have to make do with these updates.

yeah its deffo gonna be fun and games fitting it into the shell
Craigo think i'll be tacking it in plae and having someone else do some good welds to hold it together, saying as they'll be in full view of everyone dont think mine would be wuite good enough
