Default Mk2 Fiesta ST 170

Some pictures of my sons Fiesta. We've had this for 7 years now first it belonged to son no. 1 who modified from a standard car to how it is today. It's now owned by son no. 2 and is still running a 1.1 but he's been gathering parts and maybe it will get the power to match its looks soon.

Liking hat, a lot. I have a Mk2 with 2L silvertop Zetec on Jenveys. Like the stripped interior, I was planning on that but have kept the rear seats & got the Recaros trimmed to match.

it will be run on bike carbs with a nodiz ecu supplying the spark, I think the same company will supply the VVT controller. Throttle bodies would be great but they're way out of budget.

5 speed. Up until yesterday it was my spare B5 box that he was going to get rebuilt but he's looking into IB5 rear starter boxes to avoid cutting the sump. Anyone know if they fit ok

Cost. He’s still an apprentice and running bike carbs is the cheapest option. Should still be better than the 54hp 1.1👍

He is trying to keep the belt covers and they need a little work the clear the engine mount, nearly there.
He decided to make a bracket to suit the small alternator he has. Gearbox and lsd were dropped of at the repair shop on Friday.

Well yesterday the biggest piece off the plan came. We finally got a garage to do the work, it’s been with solicitors since October but now mine. So full steam ahead.

To escape the boredom of waxoyl cleaning he tried his 285 mm discs and 4 pots to see if they would fit behind the 13” wheels. Looks tight but doable.👍

They are wilwood 4 pots and will be on brackets made by my son ( mdf) prototyping is happening now! I think the discs are from a 4x4 Sierra and they have the correct offset.
He has a Mondeo servo and master cyclinder.
