Hi where did you order your paint from I've had a look for gray rustoleum but can't fine it. Pwrs2k car is looking awesome has given me inspiration to sort the underside of my car out
my thoughts too when done this should have earned the correct title of mint, however I would love to see the honest price it cost once completed as its bound to bring a tear to your eye and loss of a kidney

Its going to cost a fair bit steve but lucky there was no repairs to do such as welding etc and my mate has a shot blasting company and chroming and plating buisness so only pay mates rates lol and have ford employee discount so get good discounts on genuine parts i wouldnt like to pay somebody to do all this work so doing it all myself as the cost of labour would be huge.
Small update done a bit of work on the car front end all stripped subframe brakes suspension etc.subframes in the powder coaters picked up some bits ready for fitting.
Managed to fit the subframe today ended up removing the rack from the subframe and fitted that first as struggled to line everything up working by myself could have done with an extra pair of hands lol heres some pics.
Thanks mate on hold now for a minute waiting for some bits to come back from the platers then i can build up all the suspension also ordered some brembo discs and pads also going to get the capillers referbished.
A little update to what ive been doing havent had much time to work on the car the last few weeks but managed to get all front end suspension etc fitted, driveshafts on heres some pics.
Fantastic. The ST170 is one of my favourite sporting Fords. Long legged, practical, easy to live with, discrete. Great to see such a clean one, and that's some phenomenal attention to detail you're giving it.
Looks great Paul. As you say you have had a fair bit of pratice with underside restos on the old Fords..lol.
Keep up the good work. I just read the thread from start to finish, great progress, looks a very clean base to start with which is more than half the battle as you know.
Must be more satisfying doing a newer car being able to still buy most things new without paying stupid prices
your right there mate parts also dont come with the rs tax being an st lol some things are getting hard to come buy now going to start stocking up on some things while they are still available was lucky with this car as the underside was very good needed no repairs such as welding.
long time no see Paul, the car looks amazing fair play, am I right in thinking you had a st years ago? as for values I think you've made a solid investment there
