I have since been messing about with bmw's as they are cheap and easy to go sideways I have owned over 13 e36/46's in the past 3 years and have recently just finished my latest project this bmw e38 740i , done a full colour change on it as I am a painter by trade

Had some grate times in the mk4 escort and never thought I'd see the day I'd part with it , did have dreams of making it 4wd with cosworth running gear but strangely as I'm getting older I'm loosing the interest of modifying cars as much as I appreciate the work and effort some people put into modifying cars I personally prefer things as they came out the factory witch is exactly what I have planned for the cosworth as it is such an original car to begin with my dad has owned the car since 2010 he used it for a year and the head gasket went and it's stood in the garage since , I recently had it off him and plan on bringing it back to its former glory , parts wise it's near enough all there , interior is in pretty good condition , the shell dose need some welding in the usual places , but I decided to start off with the engine , that is now out and been sent over to James at grace engine developments , he has stripped the engine and so far so good , the head is unskimmed and appears in good condition but is still waiting to be pressure tested , block needs a re bore as there is a slight lip from wear in the bores , the crank was the most surprising as it is unground and in amazing condition just needing a slight polish , so I have left the engine in the capable hands of James while I continue to refurb / source original parts and continue to strip the shell to see exactly what welding is needed and in a state where I can't re paint the underneath inside and out thanks for looking I will keep you updated on how she goes
