Had the Geometry set today at ABP Motorsport . First drive and the ARB sounded so harsh . That much so whilst it as being tweaked I wrote an advert to sell it ordered some bushes for my standard ArB then had to cancel them as I already had them as I bought full kit 3 years ago 🙈 head shed ..then went for another drive after some more tweaks and the bespoke ARB was totally what I wanted no noise from it at all ..so it's staying , feels absolutely mega in the corners even with mild Geometry set ..bang on .
before settings and it was clear the car was steering from the rear and miles out .
New settings and now its like a new car , really nice now .

Your cranking does sound a little slow compared to mine.
I replaced my starter with a transit connect diesel one from euro car parts and it starts before the key is turned now😁😂. The information on the part number is on here somewhere if you search.

Hi mate yep it was very slow due to only having 9.6V , its a transit connect starter i fitted 5 years ago , after all the tests it turns out the battery had shit itself so new one on and as you say cranks so fast .. all back working as should now.

Since my last update I've not really used the car apart from the day before I flew out to the villa in bukgaria . I managed a run up to the fishing tackle shop up in Shrewsbury and managed to do 125miles and rinse a Golf R :: since that day the cats been brought out to be cleaned with the young un and back away it went , its running and going like a dream still . Needs more boost though but no rush im busy with family and work , villa etc
Here's some pics and vids .
And then the time in bukgaria at the villa with a spot of fishing .

Hey Mat, watched your vids. Car looking great. Great that your showing all the issues along the way. I never knew that about the battery bulb on the dash. Pretty sure Cossie is the same. Needs a blip on the throttle before light goes out and starts charging. Sounds like turbo spool is nice and responsive when you give it a blip.
Always good fun giving modern stuff a good run. All the best. MM.

Too slow and they don't charge, too fast and they overheat

If your battery light is working and you need to blip it to put the light out then the alternator is spinning too slow at idle to work. Check pulley size is factory. Alternators are geared to ensure they operate at min engine rpm and max rpm.

It's kind of a problem but not a problem. As long as you know its how it works it will be fine.
Why fix something that doesn't really need fixing I suppose. I wouldn't waste the time to solve it if it goes off with a blip.

Well we went to Motorsport development's. And given the extreme temps we managed to come away really happy , the aim was always 300bhp so to keep her round that I'm happy .. even got to see the ECU do it's Job when the oil got too hot , dropped the pressure and the car went down to idle then full shut down until cool and pressure back to normal ..massive thanks to Mark Knight and the full Team at MSD .
