Little update .. trigger wheels are all painted and coated and ready for fitting . The ARB set up took a twist, in the fact its needs a while lower joint and pin design so more time . MUZ at G.O.N.E messaged me to say the sump has arrived and that we will be on with it anytime now 😀.. one further investigation I needed to do also was investigate why my turbo on the last dyno day didn't spool as quick ..so in with the camera I went and seen this little black mark on the face at 9 o'clock to nearly 12 o'clock..also I think the actuator needs more pre load as I think it's on the softer side so may be that .. fingers crossed.
Also after just 2years of abuse I'm going to treat it to a cambelt ,water pump and tensioner.

Also I've taken the actuator up as it was quite on the soft side as I could attach it by hand now I've set it at 1/4 and have to Stretch it on , so now hopefully the gate holds and get the original spool back .. will need checking once I'm back on road and a new local friend has his own dyno so will check it out after Xmas on there .

Not much to report , it's cold and very windy due to storm arwen , left us on the mountain without power from 20.50pm til 03.30am
Although whilst all this was going on , I had a great lesson on some data from my car with Mark Knight ..very very intresting regarding the Turbo spool time , revs and map at load from the data I've collected .. really shows how my engine and turbo is behaving...more to come ....😉

Not much to report really . Cars still up in the Air with parts outstanding .. so in the meantime, I've stripped the Turbo , manifold and down pipe off and I'm have them triple pro coated called aliminia tiatania and its a blue / black colour very hard wearing . my sump will be back in around 14 days . Mk motorsport said he was posting out boxing day , guess what 🤣looks like I'll have to go and fetch them

Were you on the lookout for either the RS1600i / Turbo technics front ARB, or only the TT one - much difference?
My Mk4 had the lower hole in the chassis leg for the rear mounting bolts - but needed drilling up through and a crush tube welded in place to take an RS16i ARB - This was years ago and just from memory

Only the TT one as its a direct fit and seems to work better and be more sought after ..however I'm really wanting my bespoke bladed set up finished and dialled it .

I cut my losses with my lower arms. Sold it them a mate he wanted them and I fitted compbrake stuff. I told the fool his stuff is not fit for purpose and the compbrake stuff works. It’s disheartening he shouldn’t be allowed to sell stuff. If his motorbike stuff is the same crap it must be dangerous. I still have the bladed roll bar. I’ll mod my new lower arms and still use that. If the bar needs modding I’ll get a proper engineer to mod it. I’d not trust that clown to even drop it off to a proper engineer lol

You must get on a lot better with him than me. I spent ages telling him the ball joint angle was all wrong the arms are simply not right. He would just totally loose it. Tell me I’m stupid the cars too low. I even sent him a picture of the car it sits a standard height lol. He told me I’m not looking at it right. I work in a busy work shop we all had the same opinion. He told me none of us are engineers and should stick to doing simple mechanics as he makes bits for rally cars and f1 lol. I hope the clown reads all this stuff. Fingers crossed you get your money back and get a proper working solution from someone who dose make parts that do as there meant too

I contacted them over my lower arms as there’s a later spec that’s angled different. They was quite helpful and was aware of the problem as they had a shop 3dr with the arms on. They had noticed the ball joint angle was wrong. They had just machined a set of the other ones and was going to swap them for mine so I could try them. But once I started putting my engine back in I noticed the compression struts where too long as well. At that point I’d decided it all had to go

Hope you get it sorted mate.
As a side note, i know you’re right into your detailing, what would you recommend for black plastic trim to shine it up and remove polish residue?

Not much of an update but ... The MK motorsport ARB and Tcas are going back for a refund . So will just use a the TT ARB and some compbrake Tcas . I'm still waiting for my sump set up to be ready from G.O.N.E Ceramic coating I'm still waiting on but I'm kept in the loop so all is good . Itching to get car on road but I'll just have to wait out .
