I remember the pain of trying to find a decent heater controls surround without the tabs behind the dials broken. I had a few in the past including I think it was possibly a nomad one with the triple gauge holder which used to heat the gauges up from the vent
Shame to see the boost gauge damage, try contacting stack and see if they will fix that for you. I'd have thought they would be able to.
I'm still in the collecting stage of bits for the three fords I want in the future. Got nearly everything for a rs turbo I will need, few bits for a 3 door and sapphire but I think the rs turbo is the one i'm most keen to get going. I do like them in red!

So I arrive at Motorsport developments on the morning of Tuesday the 18th of June . Greeted with a brew and quick chat then leave .
anyhow in short it spends a couple of hours off the rollers for oil pressure data and update the ECU ..then not long into mapping the thrust bearing in the gearbox shit itself ,so then next morning I arrive to whip the box out and fit new bearing ..we get that done then head over to the rollers then the front brakes lock casing major problems ..so after laughing and blaming our man Gus we decide to whip pads out and investigate . in end we cracked nipples open and pushed the pistod back ..all is fixed and then some load runs start .. 10 mins into load pulls a boost hose blows off so out the tools come again and fix ... then another 10 mins and bang same boost hose so its double clamp and go again . by this time its about 1540pm and we agree to get it mapped around 200bhp safe and take it away to get an MOT and get some mileage on it and shake down.. its mapped to 9psi safe at around 230hp it drives lovely and the turbo like stu says is on holiday at 9psi ..it pulls well also very strong power ..so back for more boost in the future but for now get some mileage done and enjoy it .

Glad to see in the end you got it so its driveable, get some miles on it and get it turned up.
Are you going to either weld a lip on the pipe that the hose comes off or roll a bead in it to stop it coming off again?

Congrats on the mot. Another step closer.
There used to be a red rs turbo on the jackmans estate in Letchworth years and years ago. You could hear the turbo whir before you could see the car. Sounded really good.

as said via our many messages on whatsapp, absolutely love it mate and its about time, well deserved after all the graft you have put in. And to think its making more power at just 9psi than most rs turbos make doing 20+ psi just shows that how you have specced it is bang on and its flowing really well

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
Fantastic result!
It shows that a modern turbo and high flow exhaust manifolding makes more power at less boost.
The pre-turbine and post turbine pressure with this set-up is far lower than a typical old school T3.
Result - impressive power at much lower intake manifold pressures.
Well done!!!!

Hopefully this weekend sometime mate .
I've nothing planned of yet mate as I really want a few dents removed especially the bonnet
Thanks mate , the CVH took some many late nights getting the spec just right to suit the Turbo and then getting parts made and flow tested etc .. but the proof is in the Data ..and I'm well happy I've managed to pull off another Great build.
