Thanks Jon, I think next time I'm up your way will be to pick the car up so might be after the event
However, if I can I will take you upon that - very kind of you.

Not much of an update as I've been too busy to get to see mark, but he has tackled a small problem I had. When I had the side exit exhaust fitted the guy cut through the sill without asking me first. I asked mark to sort it and sort it he did.
Cut out and metal replaced
Nicely tigged in
Boxed off inside

Just another small update. Shell is nearly finished and mark has been busy sorting the hydraulic handbrake. I supplied the Tilton cylinder and Mark did the rest

Not at first, purely because of budget But eventually I would like a carbon fibre roof skin and tailgate to help with weight distribution. Not bothered about bonnet as I need as much weight there as possible so I bet it will end up handling it's best with a full tank of fuel.
The JWRC kit is fibreglass/kevlar so it's pretty light already.
Have you got any carbon plans?

Time for a little update. Progress has slowed mainly due to my work comments and that's there's little to do.
Mark has cracked on with my sill stands and touring at style column.
Great welding as usual

The column is finished. Beyond my imagination this thing! I'm so glad I trusted Mark with my project, his vision and ability is 2nd to none.
Thank you Mark

As I'm going full coilover I'm. I'm not going to need spring arms on the rear. Mark has made me these things up. Spherical bearing at one end and a rose joint at the other. They will have more bracing added and lugs for the bladed arb.
The pedal box is on it's way too

Oh and trust me my ability is lacking. Luckily I've a couple of ex pro drivers who have offered to coach me.

There was something niggling me about the cage, something was missing. Then I realised what it was.

If I'm ever in a car crash I'd sure like to be in this one!
Not that I ever want this car to be crashed, that would be soul destroying.
The TIG welding is still stunning

It does look a very cool cage. If I ever rebuild my 205 I will probably do this but think I would always want to wear a crash helmet and full harnesses in it.

Yeah I know what you mean Toby. It will have 6 point harnesses in it and my head is nicely between a sparco pro circuit winged seat. I won't be taking it on the road that often.

Another quality update from Mark. This time in the shape of a bladed rear arb. The usual quality workmanship.
