Default My 3dr replica

Been hanging around here for some time and thought I should upload some photos of my project .it's started life as a striped out xr4i running a turbo technics conversion. I bought It thinking not a bad starting point but underestimated the size of the job !!! .the engine had blown head gaskets and needed an overhaul . The whole loom had been butchered .and it needed a fair amount of welding . So first job chop the rear quarter windows and weld in new metal inside and out to match the profile of a 3dr .
Will try and add photos of the build so far .

Yes decided I wanted a road car so bought a full interior .
Going to run the turbo technics engine for a year or so then think about something different
The price of genuine 3drs is bonkers at moment . More than happy with this

Think it's the way the kit is made for some reason

If you remove the kit on the rear arch the wheel will sit
Centre of the shell/arch

Yes intercooler. It's a turbo technics converted 2.8 v6 .the bits they did are
Garrett T3 turbo . ( i had rebuilt 360 bearing etc )
2wd cosworth intercooler. (Fitted as better than the tt one )
Uprated head gaskets and high tensile bolts ( a must when upping the boost )
Modified metering head
Modified distributor
Modified sump
3" stainless exhaust from turbo back
Heads converted to run unleaded. So now on 99ron
At present only running 8 psi
Have an extra injector setup but its pretty crude so until I can build a stronger block and go efi then that's it for this year

Sounds good. Yes definitely a bit crude or dated but I bet it works ok and makes for a nice torquey motor. I like it

Yes was very local to me it was left on his driveway !! . Mines VERY protected .
Locked in garage with car in front. Gravel drive and a big angry dog . If they get past that they then have to work out how to start it .....i Fitted a whole new engine loom and interior loom ....lets just say there's lots of mods been done to that .
