Hi guy's, yesterday me and my Dad picked up 1974 Ford Escort Mark 1 executive 5dr in yellow!we are new to all of this so looking in some advice on restoration the car back to her former glory.. it's currently taxed and MOT'd,we got the car home lifted passenger side carpet and straight away I could see a holes in the floor well also some surface rust here and there,going to need some advice I'm sourcing some original parts and panel's for her and what's the best way because I haven't got the slightest idea on old fords.thanks guys.

You can buy replacement panels from places like Burtons. Cool car, get stuck in and don't be afraid to buy a mig welder (if you don't have one) and get stuck in....ask away as someone will know the answer and help out.

Brilliant stuff thanks for the advice..we currently building a house atm to so the house taking priority..yes most definitely will be buying a mig welder and helping out I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions to ask soon as we start thanks again.
