Something non Ford- Peugoet 106 gti
Copied this over from retro rides.
Picked up this little car in may this year, it was local to me. [br]It's a one owner car the guys had it for 18 years and it's done 47k miles. [br]It's a fairly tidy little motor with the usual areas needing attention on the inner wings.[br]Paint work is very good and all original. [br]Plans are to get the bad areas sorted and probably paint the engine bay. [br]Strip off the head as it's leaking oil from the head gasket. [br]My main focus is to get the inner wings sorted out first and paint the engine bay.[br]Pics of the car from the advert.[br][br]

Where I'm up to now. Things have been slow as I have been trying find genuine peugoet inner wings. The drivers side is available still but the passengers side is not available from anywhere.[br]Anyway I managed to source a new passengers side inner wing after searching for 6 months so it's gave me the kick in the backside I needed.[br][br][br][br][br][br][br]Started cleaning up the chassis legs although just farting [br] about today as I'm on call and I'm waiting for some new spot weld drills to come to remove the inner arches.[br]

Managed to get a couple of hours on the car tonight again which was good. Got some more done and found a bit more rot on the chassis leg top section underneath were the engine mount was.[br][br]Second last picture shows the hole I found. But all in all not to bad to be honest. Inside the chassis legs look pretty solid so will probably just cut out and do a local repair to it.Oh just put the new inner wing in place to get the look of it.

It's just the inner wings really which when they were available were only like Ł50 each side but the passenger side which is the worst is impossible to get. But came up trumps after 6 months of looking.
The metal is super thin also which is why it's rusted so bad as all crap gets trapped between the inner wing seam and rots out.

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
My brother had one of these for years until about 18 months ago.
Quality little car, evey time i got behind the wheel it surprised me how quick it was (for what it is)
Well worth doing up as you don't see many driving about any more

Sandy Brown and Colin Satchell makes these go very fast, they have a Satchshift quick shifter that loads of racers use and they have some very trick suspension designs

Small update on this guys been quite busy with life lately and try to get on it when I can.
Bought one of these to grind down the welds that I couldn't reach with the angle grinder.
Then set about making a little repair panel for this area.
Cut it a bit short so added a small peice on.
Little piece I had to work with.
All primed up.
Kept having stupid thoughts about the engine not fitting in properly due to having the engine mounting panel off so thought I better put this to bed.
All fits fine as it should. So then took it back out.
Only a couple of more little repairs to do then onto the passenger side.
