A lot of work, but they are easy to work on.

You not fancy the idea of something different? Mate of mine fitted a new ford v8 in his mk1. 300 odd bhp out the box and I don't think it was an expensive engine iver runs a t5 box as well. Iver way looking forward to seeing it take shape will be a good project.

Small block Ford is an easier fit, less bhp than the modular engine though

V8 Engines are nice but when u factor in exhausts and all the other assoicated one off parts it becomes expensive.

It has rust of course, needs inner and outer sills both sides, o/s/r arch, small bit of welding in the boot. Engine bay is very good. It honestly needs less work than my old 4dr MkV I had 15 or so years ago.

Just needs a number painting on the side and it will be ready for a banger race lol.
I will keep an eye on this project. Who is doing the bodywork.

Costina is going to do the welding for me as I can't weld.
I will ask Dave Pritchard to paint it (he don't know yet lol)

Well I changed 2 wheels to ones that would hold air and squared the car up.
That's it for today and probably until Paul comes to look at the car.
The only thing I might do is sort through all the parts inside the car to see what have / don't have.

Progress will be very very slow. Lots of other stuff going on but couldn't miss the chance of getting the shell.
