Absolutely loving this thread, love seeing what most people would think unsavable be resurrected and in such a top notch way

Your guy Colin is doing an amazing job on all that welding. Would love to have his skills or such a good friend. I take it with how quick this is coming together he's working on it full time and not like your average rebuild an hour here and there?

Like I said. Brilliant work

Ive been a panel beater sprayer for over 30 years and can honestly say hes the best and fastest fabricator welder I have seen.He could of had this done a lot quicker but we had to wait for a few panels to turn up and I had to find a nearside door that I didn't have to sell my internal organs for haha.
Hes bringing it back to my workshop on Saturday and then its prep time.
Cheers Paul

His skills are more than plain too see will look like a new car as the lotus did when the paint went on. As soon as I get an email on my phone saying there's an update I'm straight on to have a look. You've definetly got a couple of cracking resto threads to your name

Default Corrosion control

Loving the build up and restoration, I see you can deal with finishing and corrosion protection of the outside of the body work, but how do you deal with the un seen inner panels to stop future rust coming from within? Many years ago in my youth I used Wax oil which was very messy and dripped out on hot days.

superb job on the welding mate. One question, how do you take care of the rust that has formed over the course of doing the welding, will you be acid dipping the shell? or lightly sand blasting it again?

I doubt it'd be acid dipped after he's started filler work

I know mate your wright, I only skimmed pasted them last pictures to be honest and hadn't noticed that was filler! seems a shame to leave a bit of rust pitting before filler and paint.
