Make sure the out riggers work properly before you go any further mate, one of my cogs was wrong way around and it was "difficult" to fix when I figured out why they weren't doing anything

I did notice that when doing them as instructions arent that great at showing directions of those cogs are they.

yep you do get spare bits like that. its due to the way those bits are manufactured and picked in the factory means its easier to produce a tool that dispenses xx bits that works for many kits rather than a machine that has to pick the right number each time. Its always low value small bits.

Sometimes i think it is deliberate as they are bits you can easily loose too.

they always pack extra bits mate, it goes by weight on the individual package of bits too so sometimes you get an extra this or that rather than the actual part you need, i've only had it twice but lego always send out free bits, their customer service is excellent

looking good kev, the rest is easy now, and i always feel gutted that i've finished a model, just makes me more depsrate to go out and buy another one

hope your mrs is feeling better too

That other one Dojj posted is quite valuable, it was a flop as it had no playability as it fell over. It wasn't on sale for very long.

I really fancy that hiab truck next that you are building.

Made a good bit of progress last night, should have it completed tonight but I may have to strip some of it apart......

And this is why I have to strip some of it down, building lego and drinking beer don't go together well and I missed the cog that makes the blade raise and lower.
Had a play with it today and on the wood floor it moves no bother but on carpet it throws a track off when turning.ill try and tighten the tracks up so show.

Never seen 1 before now.
Looked at the hiab truck, they seem to be around 200 for a boxed 1,that correct?
I'd love a big truck with a trailer, say a low loader for putting an excavator on but I have never seen a trailer except the model team truck, trailer and helicopter.

can you imagine how much lego you would need to build a trailer?

it wouldn't be worth it to them or us, even though the hiab has a 5th wheel setup on the rear to take a trailer

I never even looked at the back of the box.would be cool to modify it to be a double axle.
Might buy another so I have 1 of each.
