ford sierra drift car from France
Hello, I present my project coming from France (sorry for my bad English) I have a ford sierra 2.0 Dohc only for the drift.
i am making pinto one turbo with a manifold of origine.i am registered on me on the forum to have advice on the passage in turbo on the pinto engine (carb not efi) https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/passion...e94448c8c1.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/passion...deebb85796.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/passion...18ceb0586d.jpg |

Hello mate "Nicole pappa" only french I know  welcome

Thank you for your welcome, I am honored to be the only French here but it is a pity not to have more. I get my sierra at the bottom of a farm, she was not in a good condition. Here are some photos from the beginning of my turbo mounting

I am putting an injection system in exchange for my carburetor, my engine is a 1.6 pinto, I must change my cylinder head or manifold carb ?

If your converting to injection you will need an efi head
|
Yea the 2.0 efi head will be fine on the 1.6 bottom end, I personally wouldn't bother turbocharging the 1.6 when 2.0 bottom ends are still fairly easy to source

I understand, but I had the free engine, it does not bother me a supercharged 1.6 just for fun |
You could also grind the injector notches to the 1.6 head yourself.
2.0 injection head will flow much better tho. Dunno if you can use the extra flow on the 1.6 bottom end without blowing it up. -EDIT- Rethinking this now, weren't there supposed to be a problem with the 2.0 heads on 1.6 bottom ends with the valves hitting the block because of the smaller bore size? |
