bit more progress on Saturday, front subframe is now fully built after a big game getting the ARB in place & the steering rack is on.
Just ordered some rear stub axle's so will get them fitted mid-week and get it back on the ground, fit the steering column then its ready for transportation to the unit.

Bit more progress over the weekend. Got the saph down to my unit, cleaned inside and out, dealt with any surface rust on the interior and got it in primer

Well, fair to say we have made some good progress over the last few days;
Firstly we added a bit of colour to the engine bay;
Then once fully dry I started fitting a few bits and bobs then started getting the interior loom sorted out. I took me a good few hours to untangle it all and get it into some form of order;

Next was to get the loom through the bulkhead;
Ash then came over to start stripping the gearbox down as I have an issue with going down into 3rd gear from 4th
After a few hours inspecting and looking through the gearbox manual we think the front layshaft bearing is at fault, this will be replaced
Then the inner bulkhead was sound-proofed and me, Matt & Craig started to route the loom;
And this is where I am at now. If anyone spots anything that is a miss during the build please let me know as I have never worked on a Sierra before this one let alone built one and it could save a big headache later down the line

One thing I would point out is the fact that you're running a brake servo rather than ABS.
There was talk of making sure that any car that came with ABS new had it fitted and working for the MOT
Not sure if it's true or not, but you will also get bored of people pointing it out whenever you open the bonnet ...
Also there is some sound proofing stuff that really needs to go in before the heater if I remember correctly.
Pic below of a 4x4 I bought for spare during strip down

Yes im purposely not using abs. Are you talking about engine bay side for the heat proofing? If so I have some on order so it will be put in next week.
Thanks

awesome work so far! just wanted to point out that the fuel tank you have is the in tank pump version. as far as i recall, cosworths were never fitted with these. they will work though, but be sure to uprate the pump as it will be designed to run with a 150bhp xr4x4 at best! I have an uprated pump for sale if you need, as i decided to go for a monster one. I believe the spare (brand new) pump i have is an itp048, should be good for 350bhp.

Coming along nicely, I also thought the square bottomed tanks where for base model Sierra's?

Yes this is the tank from the black LX but has an uprated pump, not something I will be keeping, there are a few things in it I will be changing but planning to have this on the road in 8 weeks so there are a few things that will be 'make-do' for now until it is on the road then I will work my way through anything that isn't Cosworth.
Upper dash and a few other bits are off to Banbury Flocking on Friday to be done in light grey
Cheers for the comments guys, keep them coming incase I miss anything or get something wrong lol

I can't make my mind up which servo you have bolted in?
You will get away with using the larger twincam 8v Sierra servo but not the earlier, smaller servo. The smaller servo doesn't mix well with rear calipers, gives a soft, spongy feel by all accounts. Don't forget the rear bias valve when you plumb it all in.
I'm going for non ABS in my Sierra but using the ABS master cylinder/servo but without the valve block.
Nice work,

Remember when fitting one these are angle sensitive so have to be refitted at the same angle
