Stephan - Great to see you & be present at the RR. The car is a credit to you don't see many with the same standard of build as my own if it looks right it usually is right. Get the Intercooler changed to a Spec-R bar & plate & you will have your 660bhp on even the Hottest day. You did ask what I used so expect you are already on the case. Enjoy it there very few better than this.

completely missed the compliments above sorry for that guys
Thanks for those compliments!

Recently changed to short ratio Oppliger long gearbox and it's transformed the car even more, exactly like Mark said.
Those short ratios are way better then the standard Cosworth 4x4 ones, had a good comparison since I had the std ratio gearbox fitted before which I'll keep as spare for now

Little clip from a quick pull through some gears with the short ratio box..

Sounds sooo good! Great to have a gearbox that is giving you more potential from the engine and down on the road

I hope you don't mind me asking, but what boost pressure were you running for your high and low boost power runs?

It's mapped to 2.5 bar high boost / 2.0bar low boost mate

thanks Wim. It goes really fast, actually I'm unable to capture on video how fast it really goes, it always looks slow when watching a video back, the real deal to feel how fast it goes it just a ride with it.
I'll be doing some launch control launches soon but need to make a proper button on my steering wheel for activating it.

bought a RS 4 spoke steering wheel a few weeks ago for a bargain and also in very good condition.. big improvement comparing to the Original 4x4 steering wheel.
I've fitted it together with a bracket I've made with pushbutton to activate launch control for the car.
Also did some software adjustments in the ECU with help from Mark to get it work properly now I only need to test it on the road soon

How does that launch control work; do you have to keep the button pressed, or?

Which shifter did you use on the box? I have the same box with the oppliger short shift kit on it but not sure if keeping it as I think it has bent selector fork on 4th and my 4th jumps out, I have been enjoying it too much to get it back to Bara to swap the fork.

These short ratios do make the engine come alive, I love mine.

I hope so Wim.. Atleast we need some dry weather to have a good day for the driving part of the event..

Yes I need to keep the button pressed to keep it activated so need to see if it works for me to do 2 things at once, dropping the clutch and let the button go

Oppliger short shifter, same as yours then. I don't have problems yet but I know the short shift puts more stress on the forks when changing hard but that's not something I do everytime I go out for a drive.. Covered about 2500 miles with this box I think.
I also prefer the short ratio box over the std ratio, had both on this car and I keep the std ratio Oppliger as spare.
Mark already said he prefers the Oppliger short ratio long box and it would made a real difference and it's completely true

If not you could also try to activate it by the handbrake switch.

You could add a wheel speed sensor then launch control becomes automatic with no button needed.

Is it possible to use the rear ABS pickup as a wheel speed sensor?

Isn't that more a traction control as the launch allows you to pin the throttle but not exceed X revs, unless it combines the two but you wouldn't want full launch every time so would need an on off toggle?

I don't think I have ever changed gear hard on the car and like to think I have a lot of mechanical sympathy, I rev match on way down and would even double de-clutch sometimes if I am out to enjoy the drive. I was not driving particularly quickly or changing fast when mine did it. Mine was within 200 miles or less on the box.

You phase the full power hit in so it takes off better.
You can have it switch on all the time as it will be only actively in launch over a certain rpm and throttle angle.
