So sad to see, glad he's ok, I feel for the guy, after crashing mine last year I know how he feels.

But from the video he was def not doing anywhere near 140mph and he seemed to just leave braking well too late to stop before the corner of the track. He locked up cos he broke so late before the bend and ran out of road...

This wasn't a track day (for people that ain't seen the vid)

He seemed to be just doing sprints down one of the straights

Cheers Paul

There's no chance it could get upto 140mph on a 7secind run

that's awful to hear and see..

That straight is nowhere near long enough to be doing sprints like that.

driver OK.. Should not take long before I have a new 4x4 Cossie in the same colour..
Then complete underbody resto, swap the engine (still OK) and all the other bits, and buy the broken parts new and then ready to drive again

the new car will be on the road this spring..
Already busy for 2 months.. Bought a very mint and very low milage example a while ago and it's already stripped, meaning that all the parts on the underside are off the car and also the complete engine is out.
Zero rust, completely Original and bottom painted is painted at the moment and this will be updated shortly with some new pictures when fitting the new parts on the car

Some pictures below when visiting the car, and taking it home...

So that's what the original belly pans/engine undertrays looked like!

Wow what a stunning car to start the new build. I bet the phone is ringing off the hook to buy the standard parts.

Awesome car! It really is looking like the perfect shell! It surprises me that it has shark tooth alloys, I thought that was on the face lifted 4x4 only. And seeing that this car is completely original I can't imagine they changed the lattice wheels.

good news.

you obviously know what you're doing and done it before but is there anything your going to change this time? were there parts you weren't happy with on your last build.

good luck.

Yep change of coilovers, from GAZ Gold to Black Art Design coilovers in Mark Sheads M.A Developments spec, this will be a good improvement.
For all the other parts they stay the same and don't need changing as I was happy with them

little update.. couple weeks ago I totally cleaned and degreased the underside ready for stonechip spray..
Covered the car all around and sprayed the underside which came out good

After that I finished painting the engine bay in the Ebony Black car colour which also came out good.. Most of the work will be covered by parts in the engine bay ofcourse but while everything is out it's a easy job to paint it..

Thanks for the replies
Car should be ready somewhere end of April I hope.. Im trying to create as much as free time possible in the weekends and sometimes in the evenings to work on the car..
I basically have all the parts needed to finish and no new engineering is needed so with every hour spend more parts are installed on the car

it's already been a couple months back (time goes fast) but the car was done early Spring around end of April..
Then car alignment and back on the road to drive again.

Filled up powersteering and let the pump run so that I don't have to worry about that when the car fires up for the first time again

Clean fluid comes out of return hose so it can be connected back to reservoir-

Technically ready for first start-up

Wheel alignment done front & rear
