Default 500+hp 2wd flint grey saph

Hi everyone, decided it was about time I sorted a thread out for my flint grey saph.

Some of you may remember it from last year when it was on eBay with a snapped exhaust cam...
I decided to take a gamble on it and collected it from South Wales at a good price.

The car is high owners with not a great deal of history but very straight with little rust etc and 2wd in flint grey

Here is a picture from the day I collected it. It was a bit boy racer, but generally very tidy and a good base to start from.

Straight away I went about removing the clear lights, st150 wheel and the horrific sun strip!
Currently the car is sitting like this on a set of comp mo's with Amber lights.

Next up was to sort the snapped exhaust cam, I was expecting damage to valves.
But unfortunately once I removed the head, I found the block was cracked between the head bolt holes and the water jacket

After a chat with Lee Marshall engine developments about the cracked block, things got a little out of hand and this happened...

10 long studs
Balanced bottom end
Mahle motorsport bearings
WRC oil pump

Cheers chaps

Defo old school!

Don't get me wrong I know it will be more laggy with the t4 than the newer turbos but there is something cool about a t4 and 8 greens

Also ditched the full leather for full 2wd cloth...

Managed to pick these up from just round the corner from me. They are mint!

Strut tops had holes from a strut brace and there was rust between the strut top and inner wing
