Theres not much info to give you yet in all fairness.
This is the rough jist of things as we stand
A nice local chap has taken on the job of making up the shorter intermediate shaft as the escort is a cylinder shorter than the 5 pot focus. Once the engine is dropped in next week along with the box the final measurements can be taken to decide on clutch and flywheel choices. Due the the adapter plates 10mm thickness I may need to space out the slave cylinder the same although this could be done with a custom flywheel so prob just go down that route anyway.
The clutch is far easier than you'd imagine all shall be revealed soon my friend
as for ratios its not far off the BC in all fairness just with the added 6th and slightly taller gears. The whole unit once installed is shorter than the MTX setup so no need to butcher the chassis legs either so win win in all areas.
I've just started work got a few pics to load up the lads are making good progress

Well lets just start with this was a good day
Left it with Karl and Oli while i helped my cousin build his music festival and have a break after two weeks of insane graft.
Went up yesterday to talk about a few jobs and check the wiring progress, something id of taken a nut off rather than do myself. Well happy with the progress its soon going to come together now its helped having most parts waiting to go!
This is my engine, just waiting on the head gaskets and a slightly milder cam than the full race 284 to help it get going a little better.
The car loom has been modded and reduced to the bare minimum and the fuse box fitted to its new location
Going to go up when i wake up from my night shift and have an hour re fitting the fuel system i took off si Oli could paint the tank for me. Also got loads more stuff to drop off like brakes and all the Goodridge supply
Updates will flow now, i feel much better about the old girl again.
Hopefully be running soon, can't wait to see what the AEM Infinity is like

If possible can you grab a few pics from underneath to show how low the box hangs once it's back on all 4
Will a fitting kit be available once yours is up and running?

Id imagine once all the NMs cars are done yes it's prob best you contact them as this is their conversion in all fairness best speaking to the man that knows best though. All I know is it fits with the development they have done. It's going to be fully bullet proof

To a man in you're position John this will be a dodddle
You won't find a better more suited box that's rated to 400 ft/lb of torque that pretty much drops in lol.
Just woke up from nights going to have a few hours on it myself so more pics to follow today

Dunno, some old chap who makes stuff at home he makes his own straight cut gear kits. Think its Notts way or something like that he's meant to be an absolute genius, does work for big names I believe and has had a good rep for years.

Was out collecting ST fiesta's yesterday so didn't get chance to go up and do some work on the car.
hopefully get to spend some time on it on Monday.
Trying to find a nice cheap ST to run around in

Managed to get a few hours on the car this last couple of days before i start afternoons, its nice too take a job back into work to get my teeth into as it passes the day a little.
Just been doing silly little jobs at the moment i started with making a small plate to spread the weight of the battery in this very thin carbon box.
I decided on a full size plate in the bottom instead of two strips, bit heavier but not really an issue to me.
Heres the plate i made
The 4 holes in the box to mount it to the body shell
Ive fitted some riv nuts into the body shell in the centre directly behind both seats to try and keep the weight as central as possible this is how it now looks quite happy with hows its turned out as it wasn't my first choice of location but after a good think this was the better option.
Ive also started to run the positive cable inside the car down the passenger side into the cut off switch and round into the battery, as soon as the glue lined heat shrink i have run out of turns up ill make all the cables correctly and clip them all in. Also quite pleased with how the bulkhead connectors are coming in. The negative is now more of an earth post as the battery is earthed inside the body close to where its mounted.
The Lifeline Zero 360 kit turned up today, its so much smaller than i expected a real trick looking bit of safety equipment, more than happy with that. Opted for the electrically operated system instead of the cable type.
This is going to be mounted directly behind the battery to help with keeping the weight in the middle as much as possible, also think this will be a nice location out the way but still visible
New harnesses have also turned up
Fitted the -10 adaptors to my sandwich plate ready for the Setrab cooler
And last but not least i managed to buy back my old set of 16'' TH2's back so i now have plenty of 16'' wheel choice having some FR's and some RL7'S to add to the mixture
Hopefully get some more done tomorrow and start plumbing in the brakes and get all the running gear fitted ready for the engine going in.
Thanks for all the comments guys the ball is rolling 100 percent!!!!

No 16x7, 8j is a nightmare on the series 2 if you ask me. I want the car to wro as it should with having so much power it's crucial the suspension can work properly I can't be arsed with it catching. I did have a set of 16x8 to put on but I'll save them for a rainy day and see how they work.

Few more little jobs done today. Decided to use as much solid brake pipe on the car as possible as i think done correctly adds to the o/e + kinda feel I'm trying to give the car.
Needless to say getting it right usually means a few attempts until you're happy. OCD at its finest.
Happy with how its come along
Fitted the first of the 4 hoses supplied by Martin at Reyland Motorsport and I'm very happy with the look of both parts of the brake lines now just to do the rears
Also picked this used Zero 360 hand held for just over 100 quid, thought it be useful if you happen to find anyone else on fire, plus it matches the kit I've purchased so couldn't help myself. Please with the Lifeline stuff, quality looks spot on.
Today i also managed to order all the master cylinders from Competition supplies so hopefully they should land tomorrow so Oli can begin to sort out the brakes for me. Its all coming together nicely now. Hopefully have the cam and head gasket by the end of the week so the engine can be finished off ready to drop back in.
Found these buggers the other day
One of those dodgy seller jobbies where they outbid your top offer then offer it back to you. He even listed them with a new Ford box to make it look like they were boxed lol. What do you do when you really want something ? Cant see me finding another full new set of locks
Anyway ill be going back up to do some more on the car after work on monday
Thanks for looking
