Yeah, no worries, I'm just getting impatient and want to bolt my shocks on ha ha.

Yeah, I haven't looked too much into it. I just realised when I fitted the mechanisms and closed the door I might have a problem.

Thanks for the enquiry though ill ensure to load up the new pics this week!!

Well where do i start.....

Been a busy summer working my families music festival, going on holiday and genrally trying to save as much cash as possible to get this running for Feb/March.

Fuel system will be installed at the weekend, got both pumps ready to go 044 for delivery and a Holley black top for the swirl pot. Going to run the lines inside the car as ive got the new PTFE lined hose that can be used inside the car without stinking of fuel. Got a nice A1000 fuel pressure reg to mount on the back of the new gearbox hanger so that should keep me going for the weekend.

Oli is currently modding my tank to take the -6 and -8 fittings and making me a nice 6'' diameter swirl pot.

Ordered some sexy new Toyo R888R tyres last night too in 195 55 15 hoping the 55 provides me with a little chunkier looking tyre, its the look i like skinny tyres are for puffs.

Hoping to get some more photos up after the weekend

Managed to actually get some stuff done on my car recently, i had to initially sort my unit out as it was a complete mess after moving from another one just across the yard.

Been spending a little time just trying to work out the best way of doing the fuel system under the car, with the tank being there i don't really see the point of having the pumps and swirl pot inside the car. I've also made nice use of the 4 holes i had left by mistake when the last rush came before the 1 weekend paint job.

i'm over the moon with how it looks now just need to crack on this next few days and install all the internal fuel hosing now both sets of bulkhead fittings can be installed, i've got a few pictures so you can see what I've been up to, not much but I've finally made a start, its going up for the engine at the end of next month so i really need to do as much as possible now.

Also decided on buying some new brakes from Martin as every other part is new why skimp on the one thing thats going to stop this thing lol.

Anyway have a look more pics to follow soon

Started with a box of bits

Oli made me a swirl pot

The 2 -6 bulkhead fitting's and alloy washers i made that I've fitted for delivery and return fuel supply and the A1000 fuel pressure reg, the little hose just to give you an idea of the colour I'm going for

Then i had to increase the size of the bottom two holes for my bulkhead battery terminals Name: IMG_1904_zps0vrvvdhl.jpg
Views: 453
Size: 115.4 KB

Moroso bulkhead fittings now in place

Name: IMG_1905_zpsrubjgb9j.jpg

These are the points where the fuel hoses will exit the interior, perfect position for me being down this side

Lift pump mounted nicely out the way, nice and close the the standard fuel pickup from the o/e tank too
Name: IMG_1938_zpskktvfidy.jpg
Views: 423
Size: 139.2 KB

The bulkhead finished off, now i can crack on with the fuel system now I've worked out the best way of doing it with the space i have, its not quite as easy as i had planned if I'm to make it look tidy.

Thanks for having a look, its really going to come together quickly now. Proper got the bug again heres a quick one of a few test fitted bits and bobs checking clearance etc

Looking great, Chris! I know what you mean about these little jobs, it completely changes the look of the car. It took me ages to figure out how I wanted all my fittings etc mounted.
I don't have any pics of my dash fitted and now it's out again so I can get the wiring sorted!
I'll try and get some to you though. It is just a case of cut, fit, trim more, fit, trim more until you get it right.
Also, are you not considering junking the old unsightly heater box and running one of those micro heaters from Demon Thieves? I can't bring myself to re-fit that standard job!

Wanted to try and keep it looking as o/e as possible but had considered it, wasnt really sure what to do.

Maybe take me a picture with it out the car. Each time i pick it up to do i think sod that lol its massively out but when i saw you're pic it made more sense.

Dont really need a glove box just need somewehere for my l8 ecu to live. Deffo want to trim loads off then swend it to be flocked asap really. Mate keeps saying he will come and help me then neveer turns up so the guy who painted it said he will come and help me re fit the doors som when he's there ill colar him to help me fit the dash.

Need to order cylinders on wed, its gonna be so tight for space, that tight some of the suports may need to be trimmed or cut off, especially the one next to the throttle as i cant even fit the bracket and if i did the throttle will never work anyway Muz Oh the joys.

Swirl pot and 044 this eve, get all that piped up then ill paint the tank and swirl pot silver ready for re fitting.

Cheers mate
