Good to see this Is that it parked for the weekend or will they be working on it between now and Monday? When you thinking we will get to see some colour on some of the shell? I'm itching to see what you've got planned for the old girl

Cheers, went up yesterday to drop a few bits off that need painted with the rest of the car so had a good look over it again. Wiring loom has been in the boot of my daily for over a year so decided to dig it out and go through it properly so it's ready to fit when the time comes. I spent ages ripping out loads of alarms and ICE related wiring from the loom that had been spliced in when I initially removed the loom from the car so now it's just a case of tidying it up and checking everything over. Will have to add in remote locking/new alarm as it has no door locks on the outside, but I'll worry about that slightly later. Will also add in the usual fan an fuel looms which is pretty essential as we all know.
Started wiring yesterday, did a bit more today even though it looks a mess I had it all laid out on the dining room floor, pig of a job but not if you do it in small chunks.
I managed to get a brand new Ford engine loom so don't need to do anything there apart from plug it in

Wiring isn't my favourite either Glenn, but I've done a lot of this over the years so I'm a lot more confident with it these days thankfully, plus I try to look at it like it's a good thing having lots of different jobs to do on the car as opposed to just holding a spanner all the time, if something gets boring or I need a hand with X or whatever I can do a little bit of electrical stuff for a while until I'm in the mood to switch back to getting my hands cut open and swearing at bits of random metal.
Scott, same place as did silver one, pm me if you want details. Going for diamond white, I generally have a dislike for modern/non-standard colours on old cars so shyed away from that totally, just personal preference really I can't justify it lol.
Need to hunt for some nice dark cloth seats so if anyone knows of some for sale drop me a msg, doesn't have to be a complete set, I'd almost rather buy seats individually to make a mint set up if that's what I have to do.

I'd say it's your Sierra now so you do what you want paint, wheel and engine wise.
It's a bit marmite anyway, but I reckon diamond white will be great
I've got a rear bench from a dark cloth interior in my loft, maybe some door cards? I'll have a look if you would like? It's not mega mint but it's a start.
I sat and looked through the full thread last night, I love all the history and the old photo's magazine clippings etc but it is all just history...
You take it on a new journey mate, otherwise it might have just sat rotting away. Good on ya for giving it a new life

Cheers, you're right it will never be the same car but that's ok by me, would probably be in for greater criticism if I tried Was good to track down old pics and mag features but I still never found out who bought the car after Kev Sharp broke it, I'd like a chance to speak with him just to see what he intended to do with it and why it never got done.
Let me know about the seats when you get a chance

Shell is in paint at long last, very happy with colour choice, a few people still telling me I should've painted it frozen white or other random colours but I wanted to stick with an original period colour. Doors, bonnet etc all still need painted which will probably happen over the next couple of weeks.
Biggest issue now is finding all the bits I had lying around for it, the morettes have gone missing for the 2nd time as well as the escos wing grills and the mirrors so I'm hoping they turn up and haven't been permanently lost

Thanks, it's taken a long time to get to this stage but I gave up rushing 1.5 years ago and decided to let it take its own course. Maybe it'll get a reunion with Snowstorm before we see the next decade.....
Managed to find the bits I was fretting about in my previous post so that was a relief since they're quite difficult parts to source in good condition, also I found headlining I didn't know I had, so after weeks of trying to buy one, that was a bit embarrassing I've got tons of shit lying about but I guess that's almost any RS owners usual problem.

Cheers, got vents and scuttle on today after finding the bits I needed.
Externally/body wise it's just other minor stuff that's left to to:
-Fit front indicators which should arrive tomorrow
-Fit front and rear black bumper strips
-Fit door mirror glass
-Fit rear passenger door striker, I finally managed to remove one from my donor car, broke 2 torx sockets trying to get the cunt off!!!
-Spoiler needs painted and fitted, undecided on Rouse or standard as have both.
-Fit bootlock and catch
-Find a set of good/new fog lights
-Find roof rails, shell didn't have any when I bought it.
After that I'll get car home and start the wiring and underside stuff, that's the plan anyway.
