Cool project. I do like the look of a good P100.

That saff looks like its had a bit of rear wheel drive action lol.

Will you be using the Lexus gearbox too.

its annoying the pics are blurry ill try and prevent that in future , my next obstacle is mounting the indipendent rear suspension setup to the ladder chassis , i have only one chance at it so it has to be 100% perfect, i have pm'd a member on here for advice who has done it before so hopefully ill have it done by the end of the week just starting , then it will be going into the hands of a good fabricator to get started on making a plan for mounting the engine and so on

I remember the P100 on DoneDeal, Glad to see it's being saved.

If I'm right the Sierra had Granada leather and was in Kerry direction?

I thought that saff was a cossie and not a diesel lol. A few people who have modded P100s have used the standard sierra rear suspension set up.

Yup the granada seats are now workshop furniture , i got it in limerick but it could have been in kerry . The sills were full of rust and chicken wire and filler but the rest wasnt too bad , well the rear too

No after driving the diesel i was 100% sure of an engine conversion lol . I cant see much of a difference between the normal saff and the cossie rear end apart from the diff and shafts and hubs so hopefully i should be ok , besides cosworth stuff in ireland is very hard to find

Just waiting on my gas and a 9inch grinder and ill have more updates

Have you considered using the Lexus diff and shafts, which would be much better suited to conversion. I feel that the saff diff will call time very early.

I have but the lexus has a much wider wheelbase so for simplicity im going to keep it ford . I will upgrade the diff and shafts to cosworth ones

They are easy to work on i think . Basic wiring basic engine basic chassis basic everything really. Finding stuff for the front half is easy because its shared with the sierra . But the back is tricky to find parts especailly in Ireland, then finding the vehicle itself in ireland is hard too . I dont think they sold too well here back when they came out
