The one in the pic is from Auto Specialist this mesured 9" lenght top to bottom (without trumpet. 8" width from outer to outer rubber measured across the middle

Ive also got the Group A KN filter which was fitted to the car before which measures 8.5" lenght top to bottom (without trumpet) and 8.3" width from outer to outer part of the rubber measured across the middle.

If its the top of the cone that is catching on the inner wing try cutting back the silcone hose. I may have to do this aswel height is fine the lenght of it may catch on the new 1. The KN was a perfect fit.

I am not getting it super clean it will be done to a high standard and still very useable. The parts getting done most are gone be off the car when the rear beam and coilovers are done. Parts sandblasted and most parts paint black with few in silver . Bolts sandblasted and zince plated. with plenty of underseal and cavity wax. 6 moths of the year when it is taxed I wana get in and drive it when I want to and not bother about if it is or gone rain

18" cossie wheels are nice looking wheels. Will get a set if I get a set at a good price. They don't come up often but when they do will sell for good money.

While over at the bodyshop for undersealing 3 dents to pull out which will be done by dent removal guy no filler or paint. Both rear spoliers taken off & painted as they seem to of having some reacting which is a common problem & new spoiler seal/gasket. With RS500 grills/ducts, vin tags, slam panel blanking plates & some new centre caps which I should have this week to get painted same colour as the wheels.

rear spolier

drivers door 2 dents here cant see the 2nd

rear quarter

It might be worth getting him to prep the box for centre push hydraulic clutch or side push whilst it is there...the conversion is supposed to be so much nicer to use and it is easy to do the pedal box end. Certainly worth it if putting in an uprated clutch for more power or using the car a lot.

I am doing mine now using the Reyland kit.

Sticking with with what I have the only issue was trying to reverse up a bit of a slope with the AP paddle clutch which felt like the hand brake being pulled up on you or doing a hill start where you have to ride the clutch. New shorter chain in the box will get rid of that problems. Apart from that everything else was good for me.

Do you find the ap very switch like, on or off abruptly? I need to spec one for my car that can take 500bhp and similar torque levels. Are you keeping std flywheel or lighter one?

Ive herd a few people make reference to this. I think the problem lies with over braking. If the car dose not weigh a huge amount you don't need massive brakes un less of course you do a lot of track days or are continually braking from very high speeds. My saff seems perfect on the road with 330's
