it is without doubt the best Escort I have built with the package it has. New head and cam spec are working awesome the turbo is now running at 150k at 2bar at the top out of a possible 153k so looking good for 520 to 530hp.

that is great to hear and turbo running at max performance it’s rated for which shows it is ultimate spec....how well does it come on boost etc compared to my old engine spec? (If you can remember the comparison).

Gearbox fitted and had car on dyno today.

New gearbox is spot on with hardly no more nosie than a standard car.

Rev limited is set to 7.8k which does not come up on the dyno plot and is making and holding power right to the limter.

New spec and head work certainly completely maxes out the turbo. BW say it’s a 550hp turbo and this certainly shows it is a tad more.
You should put up the low boost 1.8bar dropping to 1.5bar graph.

It’s pure airflow through the engine. My new head work is a work of art.

Makes me wonder if we should whip the head off my new engine and update that...I assume it wouldn’t need a whole heap of work as my head has been worked already.

Its as costly as doing a stock one to report a head.

Impressive power! Must feel great on the road?

Cant wait to get the efr on now! Does anyone know what a standard car with group N head gasket can run boost/ power wise with RS500 type cooler?
Cannot find any info on the group n gasket but it was fitted by castle performance back in the day!

still going to sell the car mate?

Thanks. Deliverability and response between gear changes is spot on.

Will be going up for sale in the next week or 2 when I get a chance to wash it up and picture it.

Also will be having a video done for LLF YouTube channel.

my car was 2.2 bar. Standard engine, metal head gasket and rs500 cooler...intake temps were quite high..Mark Shead can supply you with a brilliant intercooler I think.

i guess metal gasket gives abit more leeway with boost compared to a standard type one?
My intake temps have always been ok on the road so will be interesting to see where they end up the the efr
