£4.50 later and I was armed with a roll of fablon type stuff for the dash. a quick wipe over and some warming with a hot air gun was done and then a little trimming. rubbish pics but the dash is done now and the stone effect one is in the spares pile
steering wheel looks pants but its got mould on it from the damp garage.

took yesterday off work to play cars.......
swapped out the diff bolt and fitted the towbar. had to make up spacers and to be honest, I coulda done with a second pair of hands.poxy job. all the wirings been ripped out and redone and now the switched ignition feeds a single feed to the arm rest. theres a three switch panel on order and it will be plug and play when it arrives. one for the fuel pump, one for the fan and one for the nos. the fan will get a relay added and the nos will need a relay in the engine bay too but that's all. didn't have a battery so connected a battery charger to see how the pump fairs with the t piece for the nos petrol feed. only filled the filter half way but then realised it wouldn't fill as tehres nowhere for the air to go as the solenoids are shut............doh
I always wanted to run a "go baby go" type switch for the nos but as much as I like the idea of modifying a sparco wheel mount horn button on the steering cowling,i was better off just using the WOT switch that came with the kit.....so did. os rear end is now undersealed and the cars back on the deck. very happy with the days work

has been a while and the car has had many looks along the way too but its almost the way I want it now. my sons rod will be his first car too so hes doing much of the welding himself.
his rods a 68 vitesse chassis and a morris 8 body.....with assorted other stuff.
cars are our thing so it was only a matter of time before he got one

Refitting the seat base cover

Didn’t have any of those small circlip things so id already got me some gardening wire that I used instead. It wont snap and was easy to poke through the material etc too
