Default Black 4x4 saph cosworth ( update 11/6/17) quarters on! )

Seeing as I've had the car a few days I thought I'd give it a wipe and go get some of my own pics and get a thread started

Excuse the quality didn't think the iPhone 5 was that bad must get a proper camera!

So the plans there are quite a few things I want to do it but all in good time as it isn't going anywhere. I'm waiting for my mate to fit a new clutch to his focus rs. Once he's done that we shall take both our cars to Norris Motorsport to be setup, as mine needs a good looking at as it's not been touched since about 2006 and currently has a bit of over boost.

After that there are a few tiny things that need fixing like the glovebox and a foglight so nothing major at all

I have these ready to fit

Brand new genuine ford rear mudflaps I just need to sort some fronts and they can go on as I prefer them to the blue rs logo ones on it now

Also the engine bay bling isn't my thing either so if anyone has a standard 4x4 belt cover the one with the cosworth logo or an escort cosworth turbo heatshield I'd be interested

That's it for now I shall update as and when I do anything, all comments and feedback welcome

Cheers Billy

Foglights, are normal sierra saph fogs the same and what about granadas as they look the same but I'm not sure?

A tiny update was tinkering after work and started to get rid of the carbon wrap

Before

After

It is awful stuff! I think I'll get some other c pillar trims and repaint them and swap them incase they are like the roof rails under the wrap

I love them they do get overlooked and I've had loads of people asking why I didn't get a 3 door over this

Right more updates spent a bit of time on the car after helping weed the front of the house lol

So first off the rear brake shields were silver and so were the discs and stood out like a sore thumb. After a closer look they are pretty rotten with bits missing so ideally I need replacements so will keep an eye out but for now I put some satin black hammerite on them and they are much better

Whilst I was waiting for the paint to dry I cracked out the autosol

There was also a red bull can around the coil which you can see in the engine bay pic further up so I took that off

Thinking about getting a stainless sleeve and clamp and getting powder coated satin black to tidy it up any opinions?

Today my new dealer plates turned up from dmb. I'm very pleased with them can't wait for the v5 to turn up so I an get my plate on and screw these on!

Also had the glovebox clips turn up today too so fitted them and no more glovebox in the footwell

Finally I won this on ebay the other night and it came today so I fitted it straight away

Nice one!

Another little update from me I finally sorted out the roof strips no before pics as i got carried away but they were carbon wrapped. I've taken them back to bare metal and painted them satin black and I'm very pleased with how they turned out!

Cheers mate it's a good base IMO and I love it!

I think the alternator bearing is a bit noisy so will take the belt off tomorrow and see if it is that and get it rebuilt if so

So I got my front plate on after doing the rear it hammered done it's a bit smaller and I'm really pleased with how it looks

A pic of the roof rails after some satin lacquer and fitted look perfect IMO! Just need some spare rear window trims to do the same and the carbon wrap will be gone!

Cheers mate it is an awesome colour for them!

Nothing overly exciting as it's reliable and quick enough as it is for me this year I'd like to get rid of the bling under the bonnet, have some paintwork done and headlining retrimmed plus sort any little niggles and broken bits just get it as clean and tidy as I can then maybe up the power a bit and some massive brakes!

Really want some 17" rondells for it so if anyone has some and wants to do a deal
