2 X 1992 RS2000's project
 

Thought I would start a thread as I begin my RS-2000 project
I have 2 of these one is more or less a bare shell which is rock solid and been dry stored for the last 9 years. The other is ROTTON well beyond saving but the running gear on it is perfect.

So my plan is to swap all the running gear onto the good shell and make one good one out of the 2 cars. I am not sure which road I am going down yet as to what I want from the car, maybe a track car with roll cage or putting it back to bog standard??.

I have rented a garage for 10 days with 2 lifts side by side so I can work on both cars.

Right folks now got a plan together for the next week
1. strip out engine, gearbox, wiring loom and dashboard from donor car
2. paint block & detail engine paint gearbox

Sounds like a real good project. Look like that one been sat there for a while! lol Lets hace some pics of the better one too ;-)

Right here we go folks managed to pull the other one out the garage today
gave it a quick was and it doesn't look too bad

Should be able to make a good car out of all those bits

Been there and done that before ;-) if one shell goes to scrap fancy cutting out the bits under the rear lights so can put a early MK5 rear rear end onto a face lift :DD:

Car looks in not bad nick but those rims its on are terrible! :hammer: Look forward to seeing this progress.
